This flight encountered a violent storm and had to turn back and landed at Shiwa Ngandu flying the next day. Mails at Broken Hill were then transferred on Puss Moth flight from the Rhodesian Aviation Company which was specially flown up as the 'City Of Delhi' transfer flight was also a victim of the previous storm.
